How can I contribute to the ECI-UBI campaign?
Before we start collecting signatures, our main focus is to grow our network of volunteers. Once we launch, our focus will shift toward reaching the public and convincing people that supporting our initiative is a great idea.
While we already have activists with a wide range of skills, we can always make good use of more eyes, hands, and brains.
If you want to promote our ECI, you don't even need to coordinate heavily with us—you can easily take action on your own. We run a decentralized campaign. Because people from different backgrounds have different reasons for supporting a UBI, this independent approach works perfectly. Just make sure it is clear that your promotional materials come from you and may not necessarily reflect the official campaign as a whole.
Here is an incomplete list of ways you can help:
Outreach to groups supportive of UBI
If you are connected to any of the following groups, try to leverage your connections and become an ambassador for the ECI-UBI. Keep them updated about our campaign and talk to them about why they should sign.
- Trade Unions: Often skeptical at first, but a UBI aligns incredibly well with their core goals.
- Churches: UBI respects and ensures basic human dignity for everyone.
- Climate, Environmental, and Green Groups: Eliminating "bullshit jobs" could dramatically reduce our collective ecological footprint.
- Social Democrats: Some think UBI is too radical, but many others are strongly in favor of the idea.
- Left-Wing Groups: UBI has the potential to transform society away from rigid capitalism by empowering people to work on what they genuinely find useful.
- Student Groups: Young people have a massive stake in the future of work and economic security.
Fundraising
Do you know people or organizations who might want to donate to our cause? Reach out to them and help us secure the resources we need to grow.
Practical "Leg Work" & Info Booths
Is there a fair, exhibition, or conference coming up in your town? Organize an info table, set up a booth, or distribute leaflets nearby. You could also start a regular meetup for local activists in your city.
Social Media & Content Creation
While we have channels on the most prominent platforms, there are still plenty of digital spaces where we aren't yet present. You could help by: * Operating a campaign channel in your local language. * Recording videos that we can use as content for our main channels. * Translating, editing, or subtitling existing video content.
Artwork & Design
Can you draw engaging cartoons or create clean animations? Put your creative skills to work and help us visually promote our cause.
Translation
While AI translation tools are quite advanced these days, we still highly value proofreading and refinement by native speakers of all European languages.
Yes, I want to contribute:
You can reach us or on the many social media channels.
